MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

What was once a regular restaurant started specialising in loach cuisine in 1903. Since that time it has attracted generation after generation of local. The ‘Dozeu Hotpot’ is a famous dish eaten with warishita that has been made according to the same special recipe since the restaurant's founding. The dense-flavoured ‘Dozeu Soup’ made with Edo amamiso paste is a recommended dish, and is said to have been a favourite of the novelist, Kafū Nagai.
