This iconic, yet resolutely sprightly restaurant provides the smart, elegant stage where the Goncourt and Renaudot Book Prizes have been awarded respectively since 1914 and 1926! After learning the ropes with legends such as Cyril Lignac and Yannick Alléno, gifted chef Romain Van Thienen rolls out a pedigree lineup of French classics, from vol-au-vent and sole meunière to last-minute steak tartare and the famous "madeleine de Proust". As you take a seat in the plush interior you can expect to taste beautifully crafted, flavoursome dishes whose ingredients are nothing if not fresh, served by a front-of-house team that is both on the ball and cheerful. The wine cellar boasts nearly 2000 references and a very respectable range of wines by the glass.
