The Share Hotels are the Japanese boutique-hotel brand we always wished for — connected to tradition, sure, but unafraid to experiment with the forms and concepts of 21st-century hospitality. Their hotel in Nara, the ancient capital of Japan, is rather more on the historically-informed side than, say, their Tokyo outposts, but that’s just as it should be.
