MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
Chef Yamagishi’s intimate kaiseki spot on Tominokoji alley, Kyoto attracts much attention from bon vivants. Its first overseas outpost arrived in Hong Kong in 2019 with just 10 counter seats and a private room for four. The omakase dinner includes 10-plus courses that change according to the season. The uni hand roll made generously with layers of sea urchin roe wrapped in rice and seaweed is among the specialities most sought-after.
