White Exclusive Suite & Villas

Rua Rocha Quebrada, 10, Ponta Delgada, Portugal
10 Rooms
Modern Design & Quiet
Though technically part of Portugal, the Azores are a thousand miles to the west, in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. This volcanic island archipelago is one of the world’s most unique holiday destinations, with its dramatic landscapes and endless sea views. Even São Miguel, the largest of the Azores, is a mere speck of a place, and it’s here that you’ll find White Exclusive Suites and Villas, a boutique hotel whose straightforward name turns out to be entirely apt.

The suites are dressed mostly in white, just like it says on the label, one part spartan minimalism, one part island heritage, and one part contemporary luxury. Driftwood features heavily in the interiors, and all boast dramatic views of the Atlantic. Meanwhile the Villa occupies the best spot on the property, a cliffside vantage point complete with a saltwater plunge pool, and to these is added La Maison, a self-contained private house.

All of this is accompanied by fresh Azorean seafood and local wine in the hotel’s charming little restaurant. It’s an ideal base camp from which to explore this unusual island — or a perfectly tranquil place to disappear for as long as you like.

Please note: White Exclusive Suite & Villas is a small property with only 10 rooms. Book early as rooms sell out quick.
