Castlemartyr Resort

Castlemartyr, County Cork, Ireland
103 Rooms
Traditional Elegance & Lively
One MICHELIN Key · A very special stay
Set on 220 acres of parkland amid the woodlands of East Cork, Castlemartyr Resort is a genuinely unique luxury escape: an 18th-century manor house, expanded and adapted to 21st-century hospitality, right next door to the ruins of a 13th-century Templar castle. This level of luxury is uncommon in Ireland, and this depth of character is uncommon in luxury resorts no matter the location.

The eleven rooms and suites that occupy the original manor house are historical in aspect; it’s in the Contemporary Wing that the look begins to evolve in a more modern direction, and the Residences, the resort’s free-standing, self-catered guest houses, are as contemporary as they come.

Along with the luxury lodging you’ll find an extravagant spa as well as a golf club featuring an 18-hole course, a driving range, and facilities for tennis. And guests are spoiled for choice when it comes to dining and drinking venues, from high-end contemporary Irish cuisine at Canopy to the slightly more casual Canopy Bar and Brasserie; from the traditional Irish pub that is the Hunted Hog to the elegant Knights Bar and the Manor House’s fine afternoon tea; to say nothing of the revelatory experience that is chef Vincent Crepel’s two-MICHELIN-Starred Terre.
