MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The Greenhouse is a chic, intimate restaurant that has steadily evolved over the years. The staff are friendly and personable and the atmosphere is refreshingly relaxed, and while the trams may rumble past outside, no-one seems to notice, as the focus here is the food on the plate. Chef Mickael Viljanen hails from Finland and has been working in kitchens since he was 14. Food is his life and he regularly travels to Paris both to enhance his knowledge and to source some excellent quality produce. Accomplished, sophisticated cooking presents some stimulating flavour combinations and while it’s classically based, has creative elements and plenty of personality. This is a chef who really understands how to get the best out of his ingredients and works with great precision to continually refine each dish.
