This idyllic 13C water castle is a tranquil haven nestled just outside Basel. Surrounded by a moat, the property with its old trees can be accessed from two sides via wooden bridges. This establishment boasts two culinary concepts: a brasserie and this fine dining restaurant. Head chef Guy Wallyn, having already worked at the castle for several years, serves up classic French cuisine in the form of a four- to six-course set menu, which can be supplemented with cheeses from the trolley. To complement this, a selection of fine wines is available. Up to 20 guests can be accommodated in the lavishly renovated historical Steinsaal (or "stone hall") in the left wing of the castle – the 18C stuccowork is stunning. The small private dining space in the tower is ideal for groups. Tip: Enjoy an aperitif or coffee in the castle's courtyard.
