The Michelin Nordic Countries Guide 2019: Stars Announced

64 Starred Restaurants are featured for 2019, including 3 new Two-Star and 4 new One-Star Restaurants

After much speculation, the wait is finally over: the 2019 Michelin Stars for the Nordic Countries Guide have been unveiled!

Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guides, announced the 2019 awards at the Star Revelation launch event in Aarhus, Denmark.

Three restaurants were awarded Two Stars:

Gastrologik in Stockholm, Sweden
KOKS in the Faroe Islands
Noma in Copenhagen, Denmark

““These three restaurants may appear quite different – the remoteness of KOKS, the understated sophistication of Gastrologik, and the urban farm style of Noma – but all three adhere to an ethos of being truly ingredient-led and reflective of the seasons”. - Rebecca Burr, Director of the Nordic Countries Guide”

Four restaurants received One Star:

FAGN in Trondheim, Norway
Credo in Trondheim, Norway
Alouette in Copenhagen, Denmark
Palace in Helsinki, Finland

““The Nordic countries offer something truly unique and the diversity and buoyancy of the region’s restaurant scene make it so appealing to food-lovers from around the world. Chefs continue to develop both their own skills and techniques but also lead the way in reducing food waste, focusing on truly local ingredients and even embracing a more plant-based diet.” - Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guides”
