Amatsu is perhaps the best Japanese eatery in Ghent. Authentic Japanese fare in a characteristic low-key interior. The teriyaki salmon with a subtle soy and sesame sauce unveils and highlights the chef’s skill and talent and for a close-up view of his high-flying dexterity, opt for a table in the first room to see him crafting sushis with less well-known fish. Fine selection of sakés. The lush green patio is heaven for alfresco dining.
