One gets the impression that there are few rules inside this easygoing establishment. The rustic room is expansive and spread out as if ready for a party. Lights strung across the ceiling emit an amber glow; and the walls feature a dive bar-like riot of colorful scribbles and drawings by customers (anybody can make a mark).
Make no mistake though, as this kitchen knows exactly what it’s doing. The style is Korean but with a playful edge. Think fried rice cakes submerged in a cheesy kimchi sauce or smoky bacon-studded fried rice. It’s all meant for sharing, unless you’re here just for a bowl of ramyun (try the Hungover Seoul). Groups may split the giant beef marinated short rib served with salad greens tossed in a clever nori vinaigrette.
