MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
One of the oldest Peking duck restaurants, this flagship store has been around since 1864. The painted columns are reminiscent of the Qing Dynasty; and the original brick wall circa 1901 was declared a cultural relic. Its signature peony duck is roasted in a wood-fired oven, carved at the table, plated like a peony and garnished with leafy greens as the stems. Also try seared duck heart or sesame-crusted duck cubes. Minimum charge applies on reservations.
