More boutique bed and breakfast than full-scale hotel, the Trevose Harbour House nevertheless presents guests with a well-crafted hospitality experience, thanks to its proprietors’ experience in Europe’s luxury hotels. The house’s six rooms are crisply decorated, in white and vivid Klein blue, with Neal’s Yard bath products to match. There’s a lovely breakfast, using products from the finest local purveyors, and frankly there’s no need for much more — its setting, right on the bay in St. Ives, places you a few minutes’ walk from any number of restaurants, cafés, shops, and galleries, including the Tate.
