Set within an impressive Victorian hotel, this elegant restaurant is named after the industrialist-cum-MP the property was built for. Take in lovely views over the garden as you dine on one of two tasting menus, where the attractively presented dishes put sustainability to the fore. Herbs, fruit and vegetables are grown on the estate, then crafted into seasonally minded dishes that incorporate more produce from the local area. The impressive wine list offers an extensive, well-balanced selection with some original choices.
