MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
There’s a country house vibe at this renovated Victorian pub, which features brightly decorated dining rooms and some wonderful outdoor dining space. Cooking follows the Italian philosophy of taking just a few, good quality ingredients and combining them to create original, unfussy dishes packed with flavour. There are a wealth of lighter options too, as well as a raw counter for oysters and seafood, and a wine list which focuses on France. Four guest bedrooms come with suitably regal names.
