On October 8, 2025, the MICHELIN Guide updated its official selections for the best hotels in the world — including the best hotels in New York City. Over 75 hotels are included in the MICHELIN hotel selection in New York City, all vetted for excellence in architecture, service, character, value and overall guest experience. But like the MICHELIN Star for restaurants, the MICHELIN Keys represent the very best of the best in our selection.

The 2025 MICHELIN Guide hotel selection for the United States now features 15 Three-Key hotels, 69 Two-Key hotels, and 232 One-Key hotels. In New York City alone, the list includes four Three-Key hotels, seven Two-Key hotels, and 18 One-Key hotels. Keep reading to discover which prestigious properties made the cut.

The Three-Key Hotels

New York City is home to some of the most luxurious hotels in the world, including Aman New York, a serene retreat offering refined elegance in the heart of Manhattan. Another standout hotel is the Casa Cipriani. Located along the waterfront, this outpost of the famous Cipriani brand combines classic Italian sophistication with stunning city views.

In another style entirely, Firmdale Hotels brings boutique charm to NYC with two standout properties. Crosby Street Hotel, nestled in SoHo, boasts eclectic design and personalized service, while the Whitby Hotel, located in Midtown Manhattan, features vibrant, art-filled interiors and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The Two-Key Hotels

These Two Key New York City hotels stand out for their distinct blend of luxury and character. Hotel Barrière Fouquet's New York brings Parisian elegance to Tribeca, offering refined French hospitality alongside its chic design and upscale dining. Set in a historic Lower East Side building in a buzzing neighborhood, Nine Orchard combines timeless architecture with modern luxury, offering a sophisticated yet intimate experience.

And located in the high-profile new complex of Hudson Yards just a few blocks from the Hudson River, the Pendry Manhattan West blends contemporary style with high-end amenities, providing guests with a sleek, urban retreat in one of the city's most exciting neighborhoods. Below are the fantastic One-Key hotels, which include the Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park that epitomizes luxury and sophistication, with unparalleled views of New York's famous green space and a timeless elegance that captures the essence of classic New York.
