The sister restaurant of the one-star Mural is located in the Sendling neighbourhood, within the walls of the WunderLocke hotel. It has a trendy, stylish look with a farmhouse touch. Rico Birndt, who previously worked at Lakeside in Hamburg, as well as Denmark and New Zealand, serves up a creative surprise menu comprising up to 16 small courses. He uses ingredients from the surrounding area, works with Nordic and Asian techniques, ferments and pickles, and makes his own miso and soy sauce. In addition to a good selection of wines, there are non-alcoholic drinks that they produce themselves.
Gastronomie et durabilité
"The Mural-family restaurants generally work in a sustainable way that draws profoundly on the region. We source produce from the raised beds on our roof garden and from our own garden. As well as proposing biodynamic or organic wines, we also make our own kombuchas, garums and vinegars."
