This 16C town house is one of Biel's architectural monuments. Your dedicated pair of hosts serve up vegetable-based dishes that abound with finesse – you can opt to add in freshwater fish or selected meat from Switzerland, or stick with the set menu in its vegetarian version. There is an interesting choice of wines, as well as alcohol-free pairings made on site.

"Our cuisine is predominantly vegetable-based but supplemented by fish and meat from nearby waters and pastures. Exchanging ideas with our suppliers is also important to us. Local organic produce is available twice a week at the market right on our doorstep, and we make our own kombucha from kitchen scraps."
