Any discussion of this restaurant must include reference to Elvira Fernández (Viri), the owner-chef, who remains faithful to the legacy of Asturian cooks and a guardian of the region’s traditional cuisine. In its two delightfully rustic dining rooms, both featuring an fireplace, guests can enjoy home cooking that showcases the flavours of bygone days, prepared slowly and with the best local produce from its own vegetable garden. Don’t miss the “fabada asturiana” which was voted the world's best fabada stew in 2013 at the “Jornadas Gastronómicas de les Fabes” festival held in Villaviciosa.
