MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

A Guarda is known worldwide as “the lobster capital”, so it’s no surprise that everything here is closely related to the sea. As you approach this simple, family-run restaurant, you’ll soon discover that its name is a fundamental part of the town’s history, as the term “trasmallo” describes the most popular technique employed by local fishermen. The menu here does include a few savoury rice and meat dishes, although the undoubted stars of the show are its fish and seafood, as can be witnessed by the impressively large live lobster tank.
