MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

You no longer need the patience of a saint to dine here, as they now accept reservations online and via email. The mood is appealingly boisterous; and seats are in the thick of it all—near the kitchen. This team isn't letting fame go to their heads and continues to up their game by creating an array of Filipino adobos and other flavor-packed dynamo dishes. Don’t look for homestyle, since they do their best work on genre-bender dishes. Dig into the ensaladang ifugao, a beautiful and refreshing purple-rice dish; or kinilaw na pugita with tender octopus, salt-cured olives, purple yam, and a habanero dressing. Some may throw caution to the wind and opt for the weekly dinner menu. To finish, everyone gets a chocolate-covered banana slice presented on a leaf.
