MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
The owner-chefs opened Abura in 2019 after working in Taipei for around 10 years. As opposed to a traditional Zen-inspired décor in pale wood, they’ve opted for an all-white interior – even the cypress counter is replaced with white marble with painterly veining. The two omakase menus feature mainly cooked courses and are priced competitively; those with a larger budget should tell the chef if they’d like a custom-made menu with more raw fish.
