A double-sided clock above the door of this Georgian building gives it its name, while inside it’s been beautifully restored, fusing original architectural splendour with a modern air. The timbered main dining room has been elegantly updated and has an intimate feel, while the panelled private dining area has Queen Anne origins. In a similar vein, the seasonally changing tasting menu blends classic and modern techniques. Unfussy, carefully crafted dishes comprise just three or four locally sourced ingredients, and service is smooth and engaging.
