MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

For 15 years, Mariangela has foraged for wild herbs and edible flowers in the Anfiteatro Morenico mountains, using them in old recipes to create exciting and unusual combinations. Occupying a late-19C house surrounded by greenery, this beautiful conservatory-style restaurant (with its own huge vegetable plot) serves interesting cuisine with a focus on vegetables and rare species. Not to be missed!

The chef's commitment
We have been enthusiastic vegetable gardeners for over 20 years, using whatever is growing in our garden as the inspiration for the dishes on our menu. Wild herbs play an important part in our cuisine; the time spent gathering the herbs provides quiet moments of reflection which often lead to creative ideas. Respect for the plant world is at the heart of my culinary philosophy.
