MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
One of those restaurants in which the setting (in a rural hotel tucked away from the tourist hordes) adds a pleasurable sense of wellbeing to the experience.
Following his strict culinary training, chef Andreu Genestra decided to return to his roots and focus on the essence of his native island, sharing the traditional flavours of Mallorca with his guests from a more contemporary, creative and organic standpoint via three tasting menus (one of which is vegetarian). The estate on which the restaurant is situated, which includes extensive olive groves and vineyards, also features a vegetable garden overseen by the chef’s father, who grows native vegetables here, such as the famous Tap de Cortí sweet red pepper. The cheese trolley of over 40 cheeses from across Spain is a marvel to behold!

"As a firm believer in the concept of sustainability, I create locally inspired dishes that are usually based around “zero km” products that encapsulate the authentic flavours of Mallorca. On the farm we also have a 12 000m² market garden in which we grow various native species."
