MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
This jewel box of a spot is fittingly set adjacent to the Raffaello Hotel. Oozing with elegance, it boasts a crisp style via large windows, tasteful artwork and comfortable leather seats. An azure-blue color theme ensures the mood is serene. If the décor doesn’t evoke the Med, then the Italian-leaning dishes will do the trick. Baked lasagna layered with tender noodles, tomato sauce, béchamel and veal ragù is both delicate and satisfying. A rustic, pan-roasted pork chop cooked a-la-Nonna-style and sided by mashed potatoes is particularly comforting. Some may swap dessert for cheese, but the spumoni, a frozen vanilla sabayon sliced into triangular wedges and topped with fresh strawberries, is a light, slightly-sweet, and elegant finish.
