MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
This local, no-frills and much-loved taqueria may have moved locations, but things remain largely the same. Signature lime-green and bright orange hues continue to decorate the interior space, which also features counter service, blaring bachata to keep you moving as you munch, and those wonderfully soft and flavorful homemade tortillas, tortas, tacos and burritos. Ultra-fresh dishes are assembled to order, like the taco al pastor, filled with sumptuous chunks of achiote-marinated pork and topped with chopped onion and cilantro. Then a version with carne asada may be offered, packed with grilled, well-seasoned beef; while crisp tortilla chips, still warm from the fryer, are addictive companions for scooping up chunky and garlicky guacamole.
