Chef Christian Constant has left Rue Saint Dominique, passing on the torch to Cyril Lignac and it would be an understatement to say that the new boss is a champion of traditional bistro nosh: devilled eggs, onion soup, porkpie, black pudding with apples, rum baba or vanilla mille-feuille, as well as some perennial classics such as cassoulet set the scene on the menu. A stone’s throw from the Eiffel Tower, this authentic Parisian bistro, open 7 days a week from 7.30am, is steeped in vintage nostalgia.
