MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View
You have to buy a ‘ticket’ in advance for dinner at this modest little 20-seater restaurant. It’s certainly a compact place, with a small kitchen at the entrance and a two-seater counter, but the locals love it. The menu takes on a tasting format and comprises almost exclusively Sussex produce, while the accompanying wine list features only English wines. Dishes have an understated modern style, with a slight Scandic edge.
