MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

It may be relatively new on the scene—and the first of its kind stateside—but with a starred flagship in Japan, this spot has already made a name for itself. The lines that queue up as soon as they open their doors are proof of their popularity. What is everyone waiting for? Ramen, mostly, though a well-edited menu features a few appetizers and rice dishes. Gyoza are great, but it's really all about the ramen, which comes with a few varieties of broth—including the signature soy-based shoyu and salt-based shio. Definitely go for the larger bowl, as it arrives with more sliced pork and the decadent sweet and creamy egg. Whole wheat soba noodles are made daily offsite.

It may be bustling, but the staff is on their game and the food is delivered quickly.
