Today’s Maison Chiberta has been extensively renovated, but it retains its classic Basque Country character even as its details are brought up to 21st-century spec. The 58 rooms and suites combine contemporary clean lines with artisan-made crafts; some overlook the surrounding pine forest, others the golf course. At the hotel’s heart is an Andalusian-style courtyard; other attractions include a well-equipped spa in partnership with the Swedish brand L.A. Bruket and a restaurant that marries Basque and South American traditions.
