MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

Meet at the lakeside fermenting hut for an aperitif with a jaw-dropping view; you will then be delivered to the picturesque 18C former farmhouse and forge for an intimate dining experience. The creative, highly seasonal multi-course menu champions the finest Faroese produce with an emphasis on foraged ingredients as well as traditional techniques such as drying, fermenting, salting and smoking. Pure yet complex dishes have an excellent balance of flavours; unusual ingredients could include gannet or razorbill. Seafood is a highlight - as is the 2 month fermented lamb with onion (ræst kjøt og leykur).
