MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

You can see into the basement kitchen from the pavement outside this intimate, suburban restaurant, which puts wine at the heart of everything it does: rather than the wines being chosen to match the food, the multi-course 'tasting journey' menu has been unusually designed to match the six or so carefully chosen, top quality wines. The creative modern dishes are underpinned by classical techniques and stimulate the senses with their intense natural flavours and well-balanced contrasts in texture and taste. Service is professional and efficient - and often comes from the chefs themselves.
