Missouri kid Robert Shaner is the chef/owner of this culinary haven. The name, which translates to "Robert & Son," is a tribute to his father; and having spent time in Paris with his entire family, the menu is—fittingly—classic French with creativity at the forefront. Detailed elegance is the name of the game, especially when it comes to house-made breads, like a fluffy black garlic brioche paired with foie gras terrine. A small, frequently changing menu may feature hearty mains, like quail assembled as a roulade wrapped around foie gras and black truffle. 
Desserts from pastry chef Cati Molnar are a particular highlight, whereby sunflower Paris-Brest spotlights a crackling seed-studded rye choux pastry and praline ice cream, drizzled with sunflower honey.
