MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

The name is from a Zen phrase, ‘Springtime comes and the grass grows by itself’, implying that things will come to fruition when the time is right. Yoshikazu Imai’s approach to cuisine is one of constantly improving himself. The star of the menu is the creative hassun featuring several shuko. While Japanese in concept, it includes ingredients such as cream cheese and balsamic vinegar. Meanwhile, the tsukuri, grilled items and takiawase are more traditional than creative.
