MICHELIN Guide’s Point Of View

This restaurant serves Kyo-ryori that takes on board new concepts while building on tradition. You can also enjoy seasonal tastes like ayu, hamo and crab cooked by the chef over a charcoal flame in your tatami room. The owner-chef took tea ceremony and flower arrangement lessons from a young age and is also knowledgeable about architecture and gardening. He emphasises the five sensations of fragrance, sound, light, colour and taste.
