Violet's epitomizes the well-run, neighborhood eatery we wish we all had down the block. It's deservedly busy but service never misses a beat. Relaxed and enjoyable, it's done up in hues of blue and green and outfitted with a wraparound walnut bar, it has the same intimate and lively vibe as nearby sib—Fiorella—and is ideal for date night or just a regular Tuesday evening. 
From the first bite of deviled eggs with fried leeks, it's clear that this is a menu of time-honored favorites with a dash of style. Then, fried chicken with mac and cheese is everything you want it to be, though burgers are always a close second.
