In the staid and luxury-heavy Washington D.C. hospitality scene, Motto by Hilton Washington DC City Center is a fairly dramatic outlier: with its small, low-frills rooms and its colorful décor it’s clearly aimed not at visiting heads of state but at young travelers on a budget. Bunk rooms lend a hostel-like aspect, but these rooms — and their bathrooms — are private, and efficiently designed to make the most of their space.
