If you enjoy dining in restaurants that showcase French cuisine, Allégorie is definitely an option for you in the heart of the city’s Chamberí distrct. Here, you can discover the full virtues of Gallic cooking courtesy of young French chef Romain Lascarides, whose mantra is “eating nourishes the spirit, thoughts and the faculty of judgement”. His cuisine varies with the seasons thanks to his total respect for the seasonality of ingredients and for their small-scale producers. A choice of “raciones” is on offer at the counter by the entrance, with à la carte and set menu dining available upstairs (the latter includes one called Prélude, from Tuesday to Thursday, and another called Symphony, this one for Fridays and Saturdays).
