Two MICHELIN Keys · An exceptional stay
Aman has long been at the top of the luxury hospitality market, and deservedly so — these are hotels that make no compromises, either in their comforts and services or in their nightly rates. Which opens the door for a slightly more attainable, more youth-oriented sister brand. This, in case you’re wondering why we mention it, is where Janu Tokyo comes in.

The location is a novel one: within the Azabudai Hills skyscraper complex, a new mixed-use multi-purpose development just to the east of Roppongi Hills. Here the location is perhaps more important than in an Aman proper; luxurious though it is, Janu Tokyo is less a self-contained urban resort and more the sort of hotel that engages directly with its setting.

Then again, you could certainly stay in and never run out of things to do. Janu Tokyo features no fewer than six restaurants, as well as a spa and wellness center that are up there with any city-center luxury hotel. And if the rooms aren’t quite as palatial as Aman Tokyo’s suites, they’re extraordinary by any other standard; almost all of them come with private balconies facing the iconic Eiffel-like Tokyo Tower.
