It was once the home of Carlo Lorenzini, author of Pinocchio, and plenty of period character remains in the villa’s beautifully restored frescoes, white stucco ceilings, and original wood flooring. Rooms are cozy and elegant with vintage pieces like writing desks and old-fashioned bathtubs, while high-ceilinged suites, occupying the former dining room and ballroom, offer two levels of living space. Guests have round-the-clock access to various living rooms, including one with a marble honesty bar and plush armchairs, and a pair of plant-filled patios.
