In early 2026, the owners of Carousel – a restaurant hosting a weekly-changing guest chef – transformed their wine bar into this permanent Mexican restaurant. It’s a bright, simple space that opens up onto Charlotte Street on warm days. The appealing menu is not overlong – with crudo, otros and a choice of three larger plates from the grill to share, which could include ex-dairy sirloin from the Lake District that’s cured in-house for 60 days. Other highlights include lip-smacking crab chilpachole and sea bream crudo with a lovely texture.
