The Ritz-Carlton, Abama
The Abama is no precious little boutique. It’s a vast upscale hotel and villa complex, with eight swimming pools, a golf course, a private beach, a full spa — but set in spaces that embody earthy chic rather than bland corporate anti-style.
Located atop a cliff in Guía de Isora, on the western shore of the island, the Abama consists of the Citadel, a large asymmetrical building housing most of the guest rooms, and a series of private villas. The villas, of course, are more spacious and private than the standard suites. But all guest lodgings feature simple, plush décor in natural hues of sand and stone, airy bathrooms worth lingering in, and private terraces with expansive views of the Atlantic — not to mention the complimentary glass of champagne that greets each guest upon arrival. Meanwhile the hotel’s restaurants serve up varied cuisine from fresh seafood to Argentine steak to Japanese noodle dishes — M.B has been awarded two Michelin stars, and Kabuki one.
How to Get There
Abama Golf & Spa Resort is approximately a 45 minute drive from Tenerife South Airport (TFS) or 1 hour drive from Tenerife North Airport (TFN).

As part of our continuous efforts to upgrade the resort's facilities, the Cascade Pool will be temporarily closed from 8th June to 31st July 2025.
During the Cascade Pool closure the Lagoon Pool will be available for guests to use.

Mostly the staff. Very friendly, pleasant and always looking to assist in anyway they could.
Everything about the hotel was of high quality, and the management clearly pride themselves on attention to detail. Above all, the standard of service and demeanour of the staff surpassed all expectations.
