One MICHELIN Key · A very special stay
To be fair, they’re not wrong — it is indeed a Monumental Palace. Now part of The One Hotels group, this 1923 classic sports Art Deco-inspired interiors which perfectly complement the building’s historic bones. It includes 76 elegant rooms and suites, a lavish spa with a hypnotic indoor pool, and a reincarnation of the original Café Monumental, now three separate venues: there’s the One-MICHELIN-Starred Le Monument, chef Julien Montbabut’s fine-dining concept, as well as Yakuza, a Japanese restaurant by famed Portuguese chef Oliver Da Costa, and the Mezzanine, for breakfast, just above the lobby. The American Bar takes its cues from the hotel’s early days and the glamour of the 1920s, and is an attractive spot for cocktail hour or a nightcap.
