With its coastal location, bustling fish markets and premium seafood flown in from around the world, Hong Kong is a true paradise for seafood lovers. From Italian flair and inventive creations to iconic Cantonese classics, the city offers a range of styles to delight every palate.

Noi by Paulo Airaudo
5F, Four Seasons Hotel, 8 Finance Street, Central, Hong Kong
$$$$ · Italian Contemporary

Led by Chef Paulo Airaudo and resident chef Luigi Troiano, Noi by Paulo Airaudo stands out as one of Hong Kong’s few contemporary Italian restaurants built around a seafood-driven concept. Rooted in traditional Italian cuisine, the menu reimagines the classics through refined modern techniques, subtly infused with Japanese minimalism and contemporary culinary artistry.

Fresh seafood is flown in from Japan and Europe to ensure the highest quality. The seasonal tasting menu of over 10 courses takes inspiration from the Japanese omakase spirit — celebrating the purity of ingredients, layered flavors and a harmonious balance between precision and aesthetics.

Highlights include a delicately composed appetizer of Sicilian tuna belly, Hokkaido sea urchin and Kristal caviar set in kombu jelly, and a signature charcoal-grilled Brittany blue lobster that reveals the crustacean’s natural sweetness through masterful control of heat.

Loaf On
49 See Cheung Street, Sai Kung, Hong Kong
$$ · Seafood

Located in Sai Kung, Hong Kong’s most famous seafood district, Loaf On stands out among its many peers. Unlike the typical seafront seafood stalls, this MICHELIN-Starred restaurant is tucked away in a quiet alley, with no flashy tanks, letting the quality and craftsmanship of its dishes speak for themselves.

Its seafood selection spans the globe. Highlights include the steamed mantis shrimp with Hua Diao wine and egg white — plump, sweet shrimp paired with silky egg white and the aromatic touch of rice wine — and the signature fish soup, simmered with assorted fish, tomatoes and potatoes. It’s rich, creamy and deeply comforting.

Neighborhood
61-63 Hollywood Road, Central, Hong Kong
$$ · European Contemporary

True to its name, Neighborhood is a cozy, hidden gem that feels like dining at a friend’s home. Chef David Lai personally visits the market to handpick the freshest ingredients, with seafood as the restaurant’s forte. The menu changes daily based on the catch, offering refined, market-driven dishes that showcase both creativity and solid technique.

Tuber Umberto Bombana
Shop 113A, 1F, K11 Musea, 18 Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong
$$$$ · Italian

While Tuber Umberto Bombana is best known for its delicate Italian cuisine and mastery of truffles, its seafood offerings are equally exceptional. Blending traditional Italian sensibilities with modern finesse, the restaurant celebrates the pure flavors of premium ingredients sourced from around the world.

A standout dish features Spanish carabinero prawns in a rich prawn and tomato sauce — an elegant interplay of sweetness, umami and oceanic flavor depth.

Yong Fu
Shop 2 at GF & 1F, Golden Star Building, 20-24 Lockhart Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
$$$$ · Ningbo

Located in bustling Wan Chai, Yongfu immerses guests in an elegant, ocean-inspired setting adorned with fish-shaped glass and crystal chandeliers. Specializing in authentic Ningbo cuisine, the restaurant showcases seafood from the East China Sea — most of it flown in daily from Ningbo Port to ensure peak freshness and authenticity. The culinary team, trained directly at the brand’s headquarters, faithfully follows time-honored recipes and traditions.

A must-try is the signature mud crab with mashed ginger and coriander. The freshly flown-in Ningbo crab boasts tender, jelly-like meat and rich roe, complemented by a secret house-made sauce — a true taste of Ningbo heritage.

Tai Woo
9F, Causeway Bay Plaza 2, 463-483 Lockhart Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
$$ · Cantonese

Since opening in the 1980s, Tai Woo has been a Cantonese favorite in Causeway Bay. Though slightly downsized after moving in 2011, its reputation for fresh seafood, precise cooking and approachable prices remains intact. The bright, spacious dining hall with round tables keeps the classic Hong Kong banquet charm, perfect for family gatherings or festive feasts.

Standout dishes include the fragrant fried rice with shredded fish and ginger, where tender fish is perfectly balanced with aromatic grains, and the stir-fried razor clams with pickled mustard greens and salted black beans, tossed over high heat to release the signature wok hei — the smoky flavor imparted by a hot wok.
Beyond seafood, the menu spans dim sum, roasted meats, stir-fries and double-boiled soups, offering a rich variety of authentic flavors.

Dragon Inn
12 Tsing Ha Lane, Castle Peak Road, Tuen Mun, Hong Kong
$$ · Seafood

Dragon Inn has stood for over 80 years, beloved by locals and tourists alike. Outside, a grand dragon pillar marks the entrance, while inside, several private rooms — including two with seaside views — offer a more intimate experience.
Guests can bring seafood from the nearby market for the kitchen to cook, or order directly from the seafood menu. Signature dishes include baked lobster with butter and cheese, featuring firm, sweet, springy meat layered with rich cheese aroma, and port wine–baked oysters, crispy outside yet tender inside, with a fresh, wine-kissed flavor. Beyond seafood, the menu offers local stir-fries and roasted meats, with all-day set meals available and handmade dim sum served during the day.

Hyde Park Garden
44 Hoi Pong Road Central, Lei Yue Mun, Hong Kong
$$ · Seafood

From its origins as a pai dong (food stall), Hyde Park Garden has grown over more than two decades into a two-story restaurant with spacious interiors, now run by the second generation. Specializing in live seafood, both sourced locally and flown in, it offers a wide selection and staff guidance on the best cooking methods.

Highlights include stir-fried razor clams with fermented black beans and chili — fresh, crisp, and bursting with flavor — and fresh fish and tofu soup simmered for at least two hours to yield a rich, milky broth. Other dishes, such as deep-fried eggplant, sweet and sour pork, and stir-fried vegetables with shrimp paste, are equally precise. The signature dessert, beancurd skin with barley and ginkgo sweet soup, rounds off a meal with gentle warmth and sweetness.
